Flying high: DIMOS receives an Airport Excellence Award for the autonomous INTRAC pallet mover

With the INTRAC, DIMOS has revolutionized the air cargo sector: The fully automated pallet mover makes the handling of so-called Unit Load Devices (ULDs) in airport logistics easier and more efficient than ever. At the Saudi Airport Exhibition, DIMOS was presented with the Runner-up Award in the "Ground Support Solutions" category of the Airport Excellence Awards. It underlines the innovative strength and many years of expertise of the Petersberg-based mechanical engineering company in the field of air cargo handling.

The Saudi Airport Exhibition in the Saudi Arabian capital Riyadh is one of the most important trade fairs for airport development. The Airport Excellence Awards presented at the exhibition recognize global suppliers and subcontractors for innovations, technologies and ideas that help to optimize airport operations, improve the passenger experience, maximize revenue or drive sustainability. In the "Ground Support Solutions" category, DIMOS secured an award for its advanced and intelligent handling of ULDs with the fully automated pallet mover INTRAC. This is the third award since the AGV was introduced at the end of 2021. "We are proud and grateful - without the daily passion of our teams, both in Germany and in the United Arab Emirates, this award would be unthinkable," summarized Martin Bremen, Managing Director of DIMOS FZCO in Dubai, as he accepted the award.

Flexible and maneuverable - cargo handling redefined

With a payload of up to 7 tons, the INTRAC effortlessly transports containers up to 10 feet in size and offers an unprecedented level of automation. This makes it unique in the air cargo sector. Thanks to the connection to the WMS used in the airport terminal, the INTRAC transports air freight containers and comparable load carriers autonomously indoors, arranges storage and staging areas in advance and stores the ULDs in a flexible area if required. With its 360° steering, it is particularly maneuverable and can increase storage capacity by up to 50 percent.

Handling heavy loads outdoors too

The classic heavy-duty platform trolleys from DIMOS are even more resilient and can demonstrate their strength both indoors and outdoors. They are characterized in particular by their integrated lifting system and low overall height. The 360° steering system enables smooth maneuvers and maximum flexibility. This makes them relevant not only for air freight. The modular construction system enables individual implementation of the steering systems, tires, overall height and controls. This means that the Petersberg-based machine manufacturer has the right product and the right expertise for every requirement in its portfolio. The platform trailers can effortlessly move loads of up to 80 tons. Equipped with a driver's cab and protective tarpaulins, such as in the ATLAS series, they also ensure efficient and seamless warehouse logistics in outdoor areas. Delays caused by poor weather conditions are significantly minimized.
